They are ranked by actual dollars off the listed original price, because 10 percent off a 49 inch ultrawide beats half price on a 22 inch panel. The two reliable windows are back to school in July and August and the Black Friday to Cyber Monday stretch in late November. Between those, Best Buy cuts individual models as stock turns over and as new panels and chips land, so the biggest single drops often appear in the weeks after a refresh rather than during a named sale.

Is a Best Buy open box laptop or monitor worth it?

Usually yes at the Excellent Certified and Excellent grades, where the unit has been inspected and carries the same return rights as new stock.
