The dates, what price match does and does not cover that week, and why the return window matters." lang: en-US --- guide · best buy black friday # best buy black friday 2026. Best Buy Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, the day after Thanksgiving on Thursday 26 November, with Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November. The part most guides leave out is that Best Buy switches its price match guarantee off for the whole stretch: anything on sale from Thursday 19 November through Monday 30 November is excluded, along with anything labelled Black Friday pricing. So the usual safety net of buying early and claiming the difference later does not work during Black Friday week. Policy checked on 16 September 2026 against Best Buy's own Price Match Guarantee (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/price-match-guarantee/qualified-competitors/pcmcat1693426756861.c?id=pcmcat1693426756861) and Return and Exchange Promise (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/help-topics/return-exchange-policy/pcmcat260800050014.c?id=pcmcat260800050014) pages. ## the dates. | Event | Date | | --- | --- | | Thanksgiving | Thursday 26 November 2026 | | Black Friday | Friday 27 November 2026 | | Cyber Monday | Monday 30 November 2026 | | Price match blackout | Thursday 19 November to Monday 30 November 2026 | Best Buy has run early Black Friday sales through late October and November in recent years rather than holding everything for the day itself. We will update this page with the 2026 sale calendar as Best Buy publishes it. ## price match is off for the whole week. Best Buy's Price Match Guarantee normally covers 19 named competitors (https://ozsavers.com/articles/best-buy-price-match-policy) including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco and Apple. In Black Friday week it does not. The policy excludes, in its own words, items denoted as Black Friday pricing, special daily or hourly sales, and items for sale the Thursday before Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving. That is a ten day window, 19 to 30 November 2026, where the guarantee simply does not apply. Also permanently excluded, Black Friday or not: marketplace listings from third party sellers on any competitor site, clearance, refurbished and open box items, membership only pricing, bundles, financing offers, coupon offers, limited quantity advertised items, trade in offers and liquidation offers. ## the trap almost nobody mentions. Outside Black Friday week, Best Buy will match its own price drop. If you buy something and Best Buy cuts the price while you are still inside your return window, you can ask for the difference. That effectively turns the return window into price protection, and it is the single most useful thing in the policy. It does not work across Black Friday. Buy on 10 November, watch the price fall on 27 November, and the drop lands inside the blackout, so there is nothing to claim. The reverse is also true: a Black Friday purchase that gets cheaper on Cyber Monday is still inside the blackout until 30 November. The practical version: if you are buying in November and the item is not already at a genuine low, waiting costs you nothing, because the early purchase carries no price protection through the blackout anyway. ## your return window expires before christmas. Best Buy's standard return window is 15 days (https://ozsavers.com/articles/best-buy-returns). A Black Friday purchase on 27 November therefore has to be returned by 12 December 2026, which is before Christmas. If you are buying gifts, that matters. My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total members get 60 days, which runs to 26 January 2027. Activatable devices such as phones, tablets with cellular and smartwatches with cellular are 14 days for everyone regardless of membership, with Verizon devices at 30. Best Buy normally publishes an extended holiday return window. For the 2025 season, purchases made between 31 October and 31 December were returnable through 15 January 2026. The 2026 equivalent had not been announced at the time of checking, so plan on the standard windows above until it is. Restocking fees still apply in the holiday period. Forty five dollars on activatable devices other than prepaid phones, and 15 percent on drones, cameras, lenses, camcorders, projectors, premium cold tubs, premium saunas and special order products. No restocking fee is charged in Alabama, Colorado, Hawaii, Iowa, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma or South Carolina, or anywhere it is prohibited by law. ## open box and outlet during black friday. Best Buy Outlet (https://ozsavers.com/articles/best-buy-outlet) runs its own discounts and they are not the same thing as the Black Friday sale. Open box, clearance, refurbished and pre owned stock is never price matchable at any time of year, so an outlet price is the price. Open box grades are Excellent, Good and Fair. All outlet stock is covered by the Return and Exchange Promise on the same windows as new stock. ## how to tell a black friday price is actually a discount. A percentage off a listed original price tells you very little, because the listed original is whatever the retailer says it is. What tells you something is where today's price sits against what the product has actually sold for. OzSavers tracks live prices across 9,800 products at Best Buy and records what each one has actually cost over time, so a Black Friday price can be read against its own history rather than against a sticker. The biggest live price cuts are on the deal pages below. ## common questions. ### When is Black Friday 2026 at Best Buy? Friday 27 November 2026. Thanksgiving is Thursday 26 November and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November. ### Does Best Buy price match on Black Friday? No. Items on sale from the Thursday before Thanksgiving through the Monday after are excluded, which is 19 to 30 November 2026, and anything labelled Black Friday pricing is excluded outright. ### If I buy before Black Friday and the price drops, will Best Buy refund the difference? Normally yes, if you are inside your return window. Not during the blackout. A drop that happens between 19 and 30 November 2026 cannot be claimed. ### How long do I have to return a Black Friday purchase? Fifteen days as standard, so a 27 November purchase must be back by 12 December 2026. My Best Buy Plus and Total members get 60 days, to 26 January 2027. Activatable devices are 14 days for everyone. ### Are Best Buy Black Friday deals available online? Best Buy has run its Black Friday sale online and in store in recent years, with some doorbuster stock limited by location. We will update this page when Best Buy confirms the 2026 format. ### Do My Best Buy Plus and Total members get early access? Best Buy has offered members early access to selected Black Friday deals in past years. The 2026 details had not been published at the time of checking. ### Can I price match an open box item on Black Friday? No. Open box, clearance, refurbished and pre owned stock is excluded from price matching all year round, not just in Black Friday week. ### Is Cyber Monday better than Black Friday at Best Buy? They are part of the same blackout window, so neither carries price protection. Cyber Monday has historically leaned more towards online only and smaller electronics, Black Friday more towards TVs and large appliances. related guides best buy price match: the 19 retailers, the exclusions and the blackout week: https://ozsavers.com/articles/best-buy-price-match-policy best buy return policy: windows, fees and the eight states with no restocking fee: https://ozsavers.com/articles/best-buy-returns best buy holiday hours 2026 and the return deadline: https://ozsavers.com/articles/best-buy-holiday-hours best buy deal of the day: today's biggest price drops: https://ozsavers.com/articles/best-buy-deal-of-the-day the catalogue ## keep comparing. biggest price drops right now The twelve largest live cuts across everything we track at Best Buy, ranked by dollars off. - SolarCam D1 Classic (6-Cam) + Video Doorbell Pro + Floodlight Cam Pro + IndoorCam P1… (https://ozsavers.com/p/aosu/9029410259180)save $1,540 - SolarCam T2 Ultra System (https://ozsavers.com/p/aosu/9073009721580)save $1,340 - SolarCam D1 Classic 8-Cam with aosuCortex System (https://ozsavers.com/p/aosu/9091454927084)save $1,300 - 85" Class UR9 RGB MiniLED UHD 4K HDR Smart Google TV with Gemini and Anti-Reflection… (https://ozsavers.com/p/hisense-bestbuy/6673158)save $1,000 - 85" Class UR8 RGB MiniLED UHD 4K HDR Smart Google TV with Gemini and Anti-Reflection… (https://ozsavers.com/p/hisense-bestbuy/6673610)save $1,000 - AI Home Security System G11 Suite (https://ozsavers.com/p/aosu/9276623487212)save $1,000 - aosu T2 Ultra + Video Doorbell Pro + IndoorCam P1 Pro (https://ozsavers.com/p/aosu/9320034795756)save $630 - 65" Class UR8 RGB MiniLED UHD 4K HDR Smart Google TV with Gemini and Anti-Reflection… (https://ozsavers.com/p/hisense-bestbuy/6673609)save $600 - 75" Class UR8 RGB MiniLED UHD 4K HDR Smart Google TV with Gemini and Anti-Reflection… (https://ozsavers.com/p/hisense-bestbuy/6673612)save $600 - AI Home Security System G12 Suite (https://ozsavers.com/p/aosu/9404730212588)save $600 - 4K SolarCam P1 Max with aosuCortex System + Video Doorbell Pro + IndoorCam P1 Pro (https://ozsavers.com/p/aosu/9042870501612)save $548 - aosu T2 Pro + Video Doorbell Pro + Floodlight Cam Pro + IndoorCam P1 Pro (https://ozsavers.com/p/aosu/9264446374124)save $532 every brand we track in depth These are the brands with enough tracked products to be worth a price history page of their own.
